Life in Pictures, May and June

I've been busy since I last posted, the job I posted about didnt work out, I applied and was interviewed for a BUNCH of jobs, but nothing turned into an offer. I've been babysitting a lot and working on my resumes, art projects, and finally organizing the piles of my stuff that have been all over the house since E moved in with me OVER A YEAR AGO. I've also been trying to take more pictures, and hopefully I'll remember to post them here.

Little Z (my niece NOT MY DAUGHTER) eats popcorn and chills hard while I put away laundry
Every year for the past 3 or 4 years I have bought (or my brother has bought for me) 2 new pairs of vans. There is an outlet about 20 minutes from my house that has a buy one- get one 50% off sale going year round, so sets of 2 is the way to go.  This year I might treat myself to a third pair, THESE galaxy print lace ups have been calling my name.
E's sister graduated from college and we took the opportunity to visit Joe's Crab Shack. I prefer just buying a few crabs from the local fish monger and getting all elbows deep in butter in the privacy of my own home. I get really messy when I'm eating seafood so I apologize to everyone in Joe's who had to witness me getting medieval on some crustacians.
I fixed up my hair after letting it get really washed out and yucky. I was trying to decide if it would be better to just go back to brown and stop trying to look like Twilight Sparkle. However I know that deep down I just cant be happy with brown hair, I am naturally pink and purple.

This is a close cropped picture of some REALLY GIANT ART that I bought. 40 inches by 50 inches which is really really big. I got it after it was marked down and on sale at goodwill so it cost me a cool $8. Yep. Eight dollars. Not eighty, not even eighteen. EIGHT. They called it  "The poisoned Lady" but   it reminds me of when my mother used to come home from work after a long day and lay her head down on our kitchen table. It also reminds me of one of my favorite books as a child "A Chair For My Mother"
The older 2 of the 3 kids I've been babysitting J and Z enjoyed our backyard blowup pool. This great big one was the same price as a much smaller one so of course, bigger is better.
Early in the month I watched a food network special about pie, and I've been on a pie bender ever since. Beef and Ale pies from TJ's, Chicken pot pie, those crappy fruit pies from fast food places, and this beauty, a blackberry pie from For The Love of Pie, a local pie shop. This winter I plan on being a crazy pie lady and wrapping everything in a flakey brown crust.

Thats all for now, I'll be back soon. (and YES we do plan on posting about the DA finale)
Love,
Lillian
